The El Campo Wind project is located in Knox County, Texas, on ETT’s Edith Clarke to Clear Crossing 345kV transmission line. This project consists of a new 345kV Coulomb station and a new gen-tie transmission line to interconnect a 220MW wind farm. On January 7, 2019, ETT filed an amendment to its Certificate of Convenience and Necessity (“CCN”) at the PUCT for the construction of the new transmission line. On March 27, 2019, the PUCT issued a final order approving this application. The new transmission line was constructed as a 3.8-mile single-circuit 345kV line starting from the existing ETT Coulomb 345kV switch station to the wind farm’s Vera Wind substation. On April 27, 2020, this project was placed in-service.
